The 82nd Arkalalah Festival proved to be quite a competition for Northwest’s own marching band and flag team.

Both groups crowded into two buses and made their way to the festival in Ark City on Oct. 26.

Arkalalah, Ark, for the town and alalah, a Native American word for good time, was just that for band students.

They earned a two rating for both their flag team and half-time show.
