Lets Taco bout food!

Food is the second most talked about topic in the United States! There is so much that goes into it wither its the process of cooking to the end presentation. So lets taco bout what Food is being served and how students feel about it?

What is the number one social hour of the school day? You guessed it Lunch time. Now we know that the upper class is allowed to leave the school for lunch, they can go out to Taco Bell, Wendy’s, McDonalds, etc. But what about those who can not. The kids that stay in the building what do they eat? Lucky for you I got the answer to that. School Food! Now there has been a big debate for the longest time about school lunches. Some say it is too gross to eat, while others actually quite enjoy the food that is provided. Wichita, Kansas public 259 schools try to provide healthy meals to students. The lunch typically includes a variety of options, such as fruits, proteins, grains, and vegetables. But wait do not forget about the Milk! Now even though they try to give us a healthy balance, there are some students who believe that the food is just too flavorless and not appetizing. So let’s take a look at some of our fellow students’ opinions and see if we agree! “My favorite lunch is PB & J.” “ My least favorite is probably that hamburger in the carts.” Lily Land (10).“I eat the school lunch because I’m hungry. I would prefer not to, although, my favorite is the pizza and least favorite is the chicken and rice.” Jaylen Mason (10).  And Angel Solórzano(10) says that he has never eaten the school lunch because it looks bad, so he just goes to McDonalds or Quik trip with his friends. Now that is a couple of responses from your fellow students, if you want to get your opinion out just look around the school for the QR code to submit your thoughts, and maybe you will be featured in our next story.
